American Citizen Services on the Road: Nanjing, Jiansu
On September 18, American Citizen Services staff from the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai traveled to Nanjing to offer American Citizen Services “on the road” and give an ACS presentation at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center on the campus of Nanjing University. Over twenty American citizens attended the presentation, during which ACS Officers Paul Guertin and Laura Anderson explained the services the ACS unit provides, described some of the challenges that American citizens sometimes face in China, and offered tips for staying safe and secure in China. The presentation sparked a lot of questions from the audience, and many people stayed after the presentation to ask ACS staff some additional questions. For two hours following the presentation, ACS staff offered passport and notary services for American citizens living in the Nanjing area.
